WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible to be the only infallible, inerrant and final authority in all matters of faith, practice, and doctrinal truths. The Bible is God’s Holy Word revealed to chosen and trustworthy authors to write so that we as Kingdom Citizens will have a guide to live by and be all that God created us to be in the earth.

THE GODHEAD: We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ – being both God and man - John 1:14; John 8:58; Colossians 1:19 … Jesus Christ, who is the fullness of the godhead – Colossians 2:9

SALVATION: We believe that Salvation is through the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross, which Christ being the ONLY means of salvation. The moment an individual receives Jesus into their life by the confession of faith in His (Jesus’) life, death, burial and resurrection they are saved – Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:30, Hebrew 9:22

HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Christ who dwells inside of us, and who leads, guides and protect us as we follow His leading. One of the greatest benefits of the indwelling of Holy Spirit is the ability to speak in tongues (glossolalia) as the spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), yet Holy Spirit not limited to tongues, but the fruit of Holy Spirit is obtaining love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). This promise is a gift from God and it’s not dependance of an individual’s worthiness.

(John 3:3-7, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13).

REPENTANCE: We believe that repentance is a Godly decision to turn away from sin and unrighteousness in its entirety yet turning towards righteousness and living a holy and victorious lifestyle that pleases the father. This allows us to receive Christ’s forgiveness and redemption through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

CHURCH ORDINANCE: A HOLY ORDER given to the Church by Jesus Christ Himself. Christ gave the Church 2 ordinance to follow:

A. Baptism in Water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins – Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16;

B. Holy Communion (or the Lord’s Supper) is a time to reflect on the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a time of fellowship and communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross. Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25

SANCTIFICATION: We Believe that the sanctification process is a definite, yet progressive work of God’s grace upon man, which leads to holiness (Romans 6:22), and righteousness as God has called us to a lifestyle of holiness (1 Peter 1:16).

THE CHURCH: We believe that the Church is a body of born-again believers, called to fulfill the great commission which Christ Himself commissioned us to carry and preach throughout the world until all have heard this great gospel. – Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11; 20-23, And to acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ over all things in heaven, and in earth and under the earth. (Philippians 2:9-10).

UNITY: We believe that we are One Body of Believers edifying and strengthening one another in the unity of the faith, through the advancement of God’s Kingdom in the earth. (Ephesians 4:16, Galatians 3:28-29, Acts 2:42).

RESURRECTION: We believe that Jesus Christ was risen from the dead 3 days after His death. Both the believers and the unbelievers will one day face final judgement. Those that are saved will receive the resurrection of life, and those who are unbelievers will receive the resurrection of death and damnation. Luke 24:16; John 2:19-21;

SECOND COMING: We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to the earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom on the earth. Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15- 17; Revelations 1:7

DIVINE HEALING: We believe that because of Christ sacrifice we have a right to full healing. Healing was a part of Christ’s earthly ministry. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. Healing is the Children’s bread. These signs shall follow them that believe. Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-16; Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28;

he Love of Jesus Christ

REVIVAL IS OUR PURSUIT

On April 9, 1906, one of the greatest revivals in world history broke out in Los Angeles, California known as The Azusa Street Revival. This revival was led by William J. Seymour, an African American Evangelist who became an influential leader during the rise of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movement. During this movement, Seymour’s leadership drew people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, even amidst the Jim Crow Laws of that time.

As the revival fire of Azusa was sweeping through the City of Los Angeles, a man by the name of G. B. Cashwell who lived in Sampson County, North Carolina heard reports of this great revival. At that time, Cashwell felt that he had fallen short of the standards of Holiness and knew that he had to somehow get to Azusa Street to receive this Pentecostal Experience.

The reports of Azusa stirred up a longing for more of the power and presence of God in the personal life of G. B Cashwell. Cashwell developed such a hunger for more of God that he missed the Holiness Convention that was taking place in North Carolina and boarded a train that went straight to Los Angeles. Cashwell knew in his heart that what he needed would be at Azusa Street.

While heading to Los Angeles, Cashwell fasted for 6 days for what awaited him at this revival. While arriving to this revival, he observed many things: He witnessed a congregation of whites, blacks, Asians and other ethnic groups, men and women (both educated, homeless and the poor) worshipping the Lord. Cashwell also witnessed the supernatural gifts that brought healing, miracles, signs, wonders.

The one thing that caught Cashwell off guard was the leaders at Azusa included African Americans and the uneducated. This caused Cashwell to hesitate until 5 days later he finally surrendered to what God was doing in that meeting. Once Cashwell surrendered, a group of young black men laid hands on him, and he received the Pentecostal blessing that he was searching for - the baptism of Holy Spirit with the manifestation of speaking in tongues.

A few days later, the Azusa Movement let Cashwell preach, raised money to commission him and send him back as an Apostle where the fire of Revival can spread in his region.

G. B. Cashwell returned to Dunn, North Carolina (approximately 150 miles East of Charlotte) bringing the fire of Azusa Street with him. Cashwell rented an old tobacco warehouse in Dunn to have revival meetings. On December 31, 1906, Cashwell begin preaching the Pentecostal experience and the same Spirit Filled manifestations that happened at Azusa begin happening in Dunn, North Carolina. Many that never experienced the gift of speaking in tongues were speaking in tongues, many healings, deliverance and breakthroughs were taking place.

This fire which started in Los Angeles, California, had now set ablaze on the East Coast of Dunn, North Carolina, which is known today as AZUSA EAST!

AZUSA EAST of Dunn, North Carolina began bridging the gap between both racial and denominational barriers. But due to the Jim Crow laws of that time this revival was short lived. Racism was far greater in North Carolina than it was in California. But God has promised us in His word that in the last days He will pour out His spirit upon ALL FLESH.

God’s House Church is committed to being a part of this end time move of God by walking in this promise, and seeing the City of Cary, North Carolina (approximately 45 miles from Dunn, North Carolina), the entire TRIANGLE AREA (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), and its surrounding counties and towns ablaze with the fire of Revival. It is our prayer that God will use us to complete the work that G. B. Cashwell began in 1906 here in North Carolina. Philippians 1:6 tells us, “Being confident of this very thing, that HE which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

The Greatest Move of God is upon us. LORD, DO IT AGAIN … and GREATER THAN BEFORE!!!
